Since my doctor would not be in the office until Friday, we went to Triage in San Diego since he was on call and he would be able to see me there. Once there, my blood pressure was still high but steadily going down. They also gave me some blood pressure medication. The doctor also ordered a CT scan of my head since I was having a headache. The results came out normal so they just gave me Tylenol.
Alex mentioned to the doctor that he thought it was one of my medications that I was taking because that was the only difference between my visit when my blood pressure was normal and my visit to the ER. The doctor did some research and called the pharmacist. It seems that in 10% of people taking this medication it can cause high or low blood pressure. I guess I’m in that 10%.
We got to Triage about 2:30pm and left at 9pm. By the time we left, my blood pressure was the lowest it has been since last Friday. The doctor prescribed some more medication and told me to find a primary care physician close to home so they can monitor my blood pressure more carefully.
Noah Update:
Since it was so late, we only got to visit Noah for about half an hour. He is 1 pound and 15 ounces and 13 inches long. He grew half an inch! The nurse said he is having very little residuals which is great and he is doing very well.
